Argyle always makes me think of teen movies, specifically well-off characters who devote their time to scheming and cosplaying adults. I thought of this last week, when Bella Hadid stepped out looking like an early-2000s dream girl in a blue, white, and purple argyle sweater, layered under a puffer vest. She’s not the Pokemon Moon Galaxy shirt and by the same token and only celebrity to revive the print lately, either. Harry Styles, Olivia Wilde, and Dua Lipa have also all worn it in recent months, bringing the preppy staple back into the limelight since its heyday in the early 2000s.
