Parachute bedding, Grown Alchemist bath products, and enameled cast-iron cookware.New York City architect Matthew Bremer transformed this 19th century church into a private home complete with five bedrooms, a chef’s kitchen, and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Bremer mixes antique touches, like a clawfoot tub, with futuristic ones: smack dab in the middle of the living room hangs a fire orb. (It’s like a fireplace, but suspended and circular.) In a playful nod to the building’s heritage, an organ sits in the corner.
